Here’s the story of Tushar Waghmare who adopted a phoney name “Tushar Bapat” with the sole intention to marry Brahmin women. He married 14 Brahmin ladies in just 2 and half years going on a wedding spree till he was caught and got arrested. He surfed Matrimonial websites to find his victims. After reading the above news item 3 things must be quite clear for unsuspecting Indians:
Thing #1: Most Indians have a thorough misconception that English speaking people won’t ever fool them as they are very well educated. First of all, someone speaking Fluent English doesn’t at all mean that he is well educated or highly educated. Any person who is even 10th standard (who may have perhaps studied in a convent school) can be fluent in English for that matter and by wearing nice clothes and showing polished manners he may fool you by posing as a bridegroom having an MBA (one degree which is being currently most sought after in the marriage market). I will be posting several such stories (along with news item’s links) in this blog of mine about Matrimonial foolings done by such people. After reading these news items it must be very clear to you that you must throw away the gross misconception that Fluent English speaking person will never fool you. As it is Tushar Waghmare was an Engineer employed in Air India and so it was but natural that his English might have been fluent and he could be termed as very Well Educated person. But, even in that case there is no reason to believe that a well educated person won’t fool you. There have been several cases that had happened in the past which proves the hard fact that very often well educated people have fooled many other well educated people who behaved naively. So there is a strong reason to remain cautious in the current times of ours.
Thing #2: Background checking of bridegroom or bride is a must in order to avoid getting fooled. If you read the above news item (by clicking the link above) it must be clear to you that even the Police got amazed that girls’ parents never bothered to do background checking of Tushar Waghmare. I fully agree that background checking is a task easier said than done (because many a times the grooms or brides can take it as an offence). But, in this regard, I would say I am different. I would co-operate with my prospective brides and their parents as regards background checking about me. In fact, since I am related with Who’s Who of the Karwari GSB community and I have a valid Indian Passport and even a UK Visa in it background checking regarding genuineness of the person becomes a lot easier as regards me. Besides, I will co-operate with girl and her parents by showing them my Income Tax Returns Statement as proof of Income (if I decide to go in for a marriage with her and also she decides to marry me). Similarly, all other grooms and brides must adopt the practice of not taking background checks as an offence (if the spouse to-be asks for certain vital things like PAN Card or Passport Copy or Income Tax Statements. This is because it must be understood that it is not always possible for every person to do background checks. For example, if you are a Karwari GSB or GSB from Kumta or Honavar (I mean, your parents or grandparents are originally hailing from Karwar, Kumta, Honavar, etc.) it may be possible for me (especially through my mother who can verify about your credentials through a wide network of her relatives. But, what about a girl or her parents hailing from Udipi or Mangalore or Maharashtra or belonging to some other community (and not GSB Konkani)? So, in short, it may not be possible everytime to verify the claims of a bride or groom through relatives, friends, etc. and so such claims must be verified by asking for documents and if people are not willing to co-operate then it is best to avoid them (if such people have approached you through a matrimonial website or you have approached them through matrimonial website. There is no need to feel pressure of geting rejected for asking for vital documents because in a matrimonial site anyone can claim anything. There is no point in marrying in haste and then getting into trouble later on).
Thing #3: I quote the following statement from the above news item – “Tushar Waghmare, the engineer who had married 14 times, reportedly changed his surname to Bapat (a Brahmin surname) so that he could marry Brahmin girls.” This statement gives me the impression that Tushar Waghmare may have been a ‘Psycho’ on the prowl who was interested in making Brahmin ladies “impure” by fucking them (If I have to righly put in Marathi “Tusharla Brahman Baikach Naas-wai-chya Hotya. Tech Tyache Ved Hote Asa Manaila Vav Ahe” (Tushar was interested in making Brahmin ladies “impure or rotten” (as the slang goes). After reading this news item there is a scope to say that he had this “madness” of selectively approaching Brahmin ladies only with the sole intention of marrying them and fucking them and he might have derived great pleasure in the fact that he had made many innocent Brahmin ladies ”impure” after having fucked them). After all, what could be his interest in marrying Brahmin girls? (as mentioned in the above news item). This speaks for the hard fact that there was method in his madness about selectively making Brahmin girls his victims.
Now, Why I keep using the word “impure”? This is because in Indian culture (and even in many Asian countries like Afganistan, Pakistan, etc.) it is considered that ladies become “impure” once they are fucked by someone. Above I had written in Marathi “”Tusharla Brahman Baikach Naas-wai-chya Hotya.” In Marathi “Naa-sav-ne” means “to make impure/to turn it bad/to rot”. For example, “Dudh Naasavne” means to make Milk Bad or Impure in order to make ‘Paneer’ (Cottage Cheese). Similarly, when we say in Marathi “APMC Market madye Bhajya Nasavlya Gelya Karan Ya Lokana Bhajyanche Bhav Khaliyaylya Dyaiche Navte” it means “In the APMC Market Vegetables were made to rot because these people (traders) didn’t want Vegetable prices to come down (due to over supply)”. Similarly, when in Marathi we say “Tyane Tila Naasavle” or “He made her rot or impure” it actually means “He fucked her and thereby made her impure”. So this is basically an Asian concept. Even in Hindi or Urdu it is similarly said “Usne Us Ladki Ko Kharab Kiya” (I have heard a Pakistani say this on TV News Channel when he was referring to the fact that “someone had raped a lady in his neighbourhood (in some province in Pakistan) and understood that the concept is same in fellow Asian countries. That is, this concept that women get “impure” (or rotten) if they are fucked by someone). But, due to such a concept prevalent in Asian countries many a times women are raped or sex is done with them because men get a high by making ladies “impure” after they have fucked these ladies. So men get this sadistic pleasure or high because of this “concept”. Now, let me make it clear that making a lady ”impure” has nothing to do with rape. In fact, in many Asian countries you will find that men boast as to how many ladies they fucked and made “impure” by having consensual sex (or basically sex with consent of these ladies). These men actually keep a count of how many ladies they had “rot” by fucking. And many such men get a pleasurable high because of this count. For example, many ladies fall in love with such men because they are good looking or smooth talkers or they know how to fool these ladies such that these ladies fall in love with them and then these men fuck them and then ditch them to fend for themselves. Thousands of ladies fall a prey to such tactics and demean their lives in Asian countries. Very similarly, there are ‘Psycho’ men who go on such wedding sprees and keep marrying numerous ladies one after another because they get an high with the count of how many ladies they had “rot” by fucking them. In Asian countries like India ladies are very conservative and won’t generally have consensual sex with someone else who is not their husband. So things like extra-marital affairs are miniscule in number in India although they have been rising over the past few years. And many such Indian men realize this and therefore they have no option but to marry a lady in order to fuck her (and “rot” her or make her “impure” which gives such men a high. They actually get a high amount of pleasure as the number of ladies they have fucked rises. So more the number of such ladies they get an opportunity to fuck gives them more pleasure. That’s why the above News item on Tushar Waghmare has headline “More the Merrier”).
From the news item it was clear that Tushar Waghmare was interested in marrying Brahmin ladies only and since in India intercaste marriages are rare he might have decided to assume a Brahmin surname “Bapat” in order to marry Brahmin ladies (because “Bapat” is a typical Maharashtrian Konkanastha Brahmin surname and is well known to Marathi people. So when we Marathi people read surnames like “Bapat”, “Gokhale”,”Rajwade”, “Chitale”, etc. we know that they are Brahmins and assume that we are dealing with a Maharashtrian Brahmin if that someone uses such a typical Brahmin surname like “Bapat”). Now, considering the hard fact that inter-caste marriages are miniscule in number in India (as revealed in my post “Why a GSB girl must preferably marry within the same caste?”) and because of the hard fact that Brahmin ladies will rarely marry outsite their caste the only way for Tushar to get himself married to a Brahmin lady was to show himself off as Brahmin. And that’s why he might have assumed a Brahmin surname (or last name). And so Tushar Waghmare might have been calling himself Tushar Bapat in order to get an opportunity to marry a Brahmin lady so as to make her “impure” by fucking her.
All this behaviour of Tushar Waghmare proves that he is a bit of a ’Psycho’. After all, why this madness of marrying Brahmin girls to the extent that he is ready to change his name to “Bapat” with the sole intention of marrying them? This speaks for the hard fact that he is a bit of a ‘Psycho’!
And mind you, Tushar Waghmare was an Air India employee and may be speaking English quite well and the ladies whom he married were also well educated (like even Architects) as seen after reading the above news item. And this proves that in the matrimonial marriage market everyone is as risk. Even those who are highly educated are at risk of wrongly marrying a person like Tushar Waghmare who may have his own ill-intention in marrying someone.
